Guides: China factory prices, quotes and landed cost

Four pages, each built from the same dated public listings the audit uses. Read them in order, or take the one that matches the question you are holding.

The four pages below are one argument in order: what a unit costs to make, how to tell whether your quote is above that band, how to read the quote line by line, and what sits between the factory price and the price on a shelf. Each page states the retrieval date of the data behind it, and each number traces to a linked public listing.

Where the numbers come from

90 usable factory listings on Made-in-China, retrieved 2026-10-30, across three product classes; 122 US retail listings from Walmart, Target and PetSmart, retrieved 2026-11-01, after accessories, consumables and replacement parts are excluded. Listings quoted per kilogram or per set are dropped from every unit-price figure. Nothing on these pages is estimated, and no tariff rate, freight rate or fee is quoted without a published source.

If you already have a quote, skip the reading. Send it and we return one honest read: where the number sits against the public band for its class, and the two line items carrying the gap. Free, one business day, by email.
