Read and signed by a person

Nothing on this site is issued anonymously. Readings at the signed tier carry a name, a signature and a number, and the number can be checked on the verification page.

The method's provenance

Where the technique comes from

Zi Wei Dou Shu is a classical Chinese astrological system, traditionally attributed to the Daoist patriarch Chen Tuan (陳摶, d. 989) and formalised in the Ming and Qing dynasties, most notably in the eighteenth-century Zi Wei Dou Shu Quan Shu. It spread to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia in the twentieth century, where the modern palace-and-brightness conventions used here were standardised.

This site implements the standard convention: the twelve palaces placed by lunar month, hour and year, brightness read from the classical tables, and the four transformations taken from the year stem. No proprietary variant is used, and no claim is made here to a secret oral transmission.

The reader

Who reads the chart

[ Draft — to be replaced by the owner. Two or three sentences in the first person: where you studied, how long you have been casting charts, who taught you, and what you would say to someone deciding whether to trust a reading. Keep it plain. No credentials you cannot evidence, and no claims of inherited authority. ]

What can be evidenced today: every chart on this site is cast from the standard classical convention, checked against a second implementation, and every signed reading is written, read and corrected by hand before it is sent. If a reading is wrong, the name on it is the person who answers for it.

Accountability

What the signature obliges

• A named person reads the chart before the reading is sent.
• Any factual error in the chart itself is corrected and reissued at no charge.
• If the reading does not describe you, it is refunded inside 72 hours, without a debate.
• The number stays on the verification page, including readings that were refunded.
